Abstract
Drawing from interactional psychology and person-organization fit theory, we investigate the relationships between bureaucratic and entrepreneurial work environments, employee-organization value congruence, and job satisfaction among local government managers. Results indicate that employee-organization value congruence acts as a mediator between the external work environment and job satisfaction.
