Abstract

The issue of teaching is transferring knowledge not presenting a lecture. This paper discusses the use of the Internet as a tool to improve the quality and efficiency of transferring knowledge. The presentation of an undergraduate construction course was used as the platform to develop a conceptual framework for utilizing the Internet to support the delivery of technical courses. It was found that the integration of the Internet into university education enables students and instructor to work closely and cohesively in many new ways. The benefits of utilizing this delivery system include not only creating more student interest but also providing better learning resources, improved learning quality, enhanced student interaction with the instructor and greater satisfaction to both students and the instructor.
