TM mode analysis of a Sievenpiper high-impedance reactive surface

Abstract

The TM mode transverse resonance analysis of Fakir's bed-of-nails structure is extended to model the Sievenpiper high impedance surface. Predictions of the apparent TM mode band edge are consistent with full-wave predictions from Sievenpiper and Zhang.
