Abstract

Michael Boyd took over the artistic directorship of the RSC in 2003 and has since re-established the company's reputation. He balanced the company's books in his first season and his second season was critically well received. For the Complete Works festival, Boyd revived his Henry VI trilogy and opened the Courtyard Theatre. The Complete Works season successfully brought together a variety of different languages and theatrical styles.
