Abstract

In this special session, participants will explore what asset-based futures of engineering education might look like. Using techniques from storytelling and improv, voice will be given to the experiences of a non-traditional engineering student on her journey to pursuing an engineering degree, starting in a community college and transitioning into a four-year university. As many universities look for ways to increase diversity in their engineering programs, this special session will help participants see 'The System' from a different perspective and discuss how we might imagine the future of asset-based engineering education.
