Abstract
This paper discusses the early stages of order transformation in a Cu-Ti alloy. The diffraction patterns for the 50 and 70 μm thick as-RS samples were obtained. The former creates the N 3M structure giving rise to the {1 1/2 0} and the { 1/2 1/2 0} superlattice spots. The latter produces the DO 22 structure giving rise to the {1 1/2 0} and the {1 0 0} superlattice spots. The results suggest that the LRO phase formation from the SRO state in Cu-Ti alloys occurs through various intermediate states.
