Phase conjugate image reconstruction for HPIV systems

Holographic particle velocimeter systems that measure turbulence are difficult to implement because of the large dynamic velocity range and spatial resolution required. Typically the depth-of-focus required is <1 mm. In practice, aberrations increases the depth of focus beyond what is acceptable for turbulence measurement. A HPIV system has been developed that produces sub-millimeter depth of focus using phase conjugate image reconstruction.
