It is proposed that angles such as the Cabibbo angle and other angles which exist in theories with many quark flavors are calculable in theories where the quark mass spectrum is spontaneously determined by the strong interaction. Some simple model calculations of this type are presented. The mechanism is tested in a two-dimensional model where all our approximations may be made arbitrarily good. Four-dimensional, quasirealistic calculations are presented, including some models which lead to nonzero mixing angles. Two distinct stages in the determination of weak-interaction angles are identified and the relationship between them is explored.
