Abstract
This paper presents a review of the equations necessary to solve the aeroelastic problem of a rotating airfoil. These equation form the basis for a study to determine the spanwise length of a control surface. The purpose of this control surface is to act as the primary mechanism for lift generation replacing the conventional method of altering the pitch angle of a rigid blade.
