Abstract
Turbulent two-phase flow equations are solved for fully developed pipe flow using a composite eddy viscosity model. First the void fraction profile is specified from experiments. Then, a new modeled equation is presented for calculation of the void fraction. This equation involves the pressure gradient (i.e., turbulent pressure force) in the radial direction in addition to the conventional lift force. The implications of the newly developed equation for bubbly flow regime are investigated.
