N2 - Accurately modeling the current-voltage characteristics of MOSFETs designed with irregular gate geometries is critical to developing hardened-by-design (HBD) circuits. In this paper, the "dog bone" (DB) irregular gate geometry is investigated. The most accurate model for determining the effective widths (Weff) and lengths (Leff) for a DB gate applies conformal mapping techniques, but less complex techniques are applicable.
