Abstract
Between 1953 and 1973 a total of 1,143 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax were seen; 10 of these cases were attributed to malignant pulmonary neoplasm. Five of these 10 patients had sarcomas and one had lymphosarcoma. In two of the cases, the spontaneous pneumothorax preceded the development of rontgenographically demonstrable pulmonary metastasis.
