Abstract
A systematic and logical workflow for characterizing a UAE outcorp of the Upper Thamama reservoir was discussed. The integrated workflow uses sequence stratigraphy, geologic modeling, and fluid flow simulation and was used as a tool for training early-career UAE geoscientists and engineers. A geologic model was developed from descriptions of time-equivalent, analogous outcorps in the Emirate Ras Al-Khaimah. For he stratigraphic interval studied in outcorp, four composite reservoir facies described the flow behavior which were modeled using Petrel2 software and were scaled up into a simulation model using ExxonMobil's next generation reservoir simulator,EMpower.TM.3.
