Abstract

The IEEE International Microwave Symposium (IMS) is supposed to be held on Monday, 18 May 2015 in Ballroom 120AB of the Phoenix Convention Center. The plenary session will start with opening remarks by the 2015 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques President Tim Lee. IMS2015 General Chair Vijay Nair will then provide a brief overview of this year's symposium, the highlights, and the key events that will take place over the next several days. Prof. John Rogers, will be speaking on the general topic of wearable electronics, through his talk titled 'Soft Assemblies Assemblies of Radios, Sensors, and Circuits for the Skin.' Prof. Rogers will talk about how, when mounted on the skin, advanced sensors, circuits, radios, and power supply systems have the potential to provide clinical quality health monitoring capabilities for continuous use outside of traditional hospital settings or laboratory facilities. The IMS closing ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, 21 May 2015. The highlight of this event will be a keynote talk by current senior vice president and chief technology officer of Agilent Technologies, Dr. Darlene Solomon.
