The biological relevance in feature selection for microarray data was enriched. A tool, Reporter-Surrogate Variable Program, was developed that reduces the number of selected genes while increasing the overall discriminative power. RSVP aims to produce results that are both statistically significant and biologically relevant. Enriching statistically significant gene lists with biologically relevant genes can help expedite biological discovery and downstream analysis.
