Logical stability has been identified as an important attribute of software maintainability. Logical stability indicates a program's resistance to the potential logical ripple effect when the program is modified. The current method for logical ripple effect analysis is very time consuming for application in large programs. A new approach for logical ripple effect analysis is given and thus an efficient estimate of the logical stability measure for large programs is provided.
