Abstract
Both proton resonance in Ca(NH3)6 and deuteron resonance in Ca(ND3)6 have been observed in the range 40-200 K. The extremely long spin-lattice relaxation times and exceedingly narrow deuteron resonances in Ca(ND3)6 provide strong support for the nearly planar ammonia geometry found in structural studies of these metals.
