The spin-transfer torque (STT) effect, which was manifested as the inverse effect domain wall magnetoresistance , in a single ferromagnetic layer was investigated. The inhomogeneous current density within a ferromagnetic layer was used to create and manipulate nanodomains. It was observed that a current through a point contact to the exchanged biased Co layer had reversed the magnetization of a nanodomain in the layer hysterically for low applied magnetic fields and reversibly for high fields. It was observed that in high magnetic fields, the differential resistance peak was due to reversal of the nanodomains.
