Circularly polarized light detection based on efficient chip-integrated metasurface

Abstract

We report a hybrid metal-dielectric metasurface to realize on-chip detection of circularly polarized light at telecommunication wavelengths. Preliminary experimental results show extinction ratios close to 10 dB and efficiencies up to 90% at designed wavelengths.
