Abstract
Chrysochlamic acid (1), a new DNA polymerase β inhibitor having an IC50 of 4.3 μM, has been isolated from Chrysochlamys ulei through bioassay-guided fractionation; it is the first example of a prenyl /n-methylhydroquinone occurring in a higher terrestrial plant.
