Abstract
The factors motivating an individual's decision to choose one technology solution with a similar alternative, are discussed. It is noticed that the customers do not exhibit rational behavior in making technology choices and do not evaluate the features of the technology option or study the intricacies of the software before deciding to adopt the given technology. Certain implications necessary to improve this include, the technology companies should focus more on the weakness of the established product, while competing with established product solutions. The companies should embrace the users who try out new solutions. Recognizing the knowledge housed in the minds of the users will benefit the companies for a number of reasons. It is expected to provide the companies an avenue from which to market their product directly to customers.
