title = "Brillouin imaging",
abstract = "Using an angle-dispersive Fabry-Perot interferometer in a confocal backscattering geometry, we have obtained Brillouin images of several liquid and polymer materials. One- and two-dimensional images of heterogeneous samples are presented using longitudinal Brillouin frequency shifts and acoustic attenuation for contrast. The experimental resolution of the images is 20 μm.",

Yarger would also like to acknowledge support from NSF CAREER 0094202, the W. M. Keck Foundation and the Department of Energy BES ER45836. The authors would like to thank C. Patton at Colorado State University for introducing us to the use of Brillouin light scattering as a very effect method for imaging magnon processes in magnetic thin film materials.",
