Biomechanics of Human Gait on: Slips, Trips and Falls

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

In order to analyze principles of body stability and the mechanism of slips, trips, and falls, it is necessary to understand the dynamic principles of human locomotion and stepping responses. In this review, biomechanics of human gait and stepping dynamics are presented to elaborate on the “human” aspects of slips, trips, and fall accidents. This information will provide a better understanding of the relationship between the “biomechanics of human gait” and “slip, trip, and fall accidents” and, may assist in formulating cogent expert opinions.
