Abstract
Communication disorders in general are deficits in communicating due to speech, language, motor, sensory, cognitive, or a combination of these difficulties. Communication deficits in children or adults can range from mild to devastating effects in the person’s everyday functioning at home, school, or work environment. Language is the primary tool for communication in humans, and thus, when there are language deficits, the individual with a communication disorder experiences difficulty in social interactions.
