Abstract
Earlier investigations have dealt with the introduction of a novel purification methodology involving trialkyl aluminum reagents. This work demonstrates the applicability of this technique to a wide range of alkyl methacrylate monomers. In particular, special attention is given to the branched alkyl methacrylates which although more difficult to purify than the normal ester alkyl methacrylates, contribute interesting properties to homo- and multiphase copolymers.
