Abstract
(Figure Presented) Giant holes: Macroporous solids with high electrical conductivity and adjustable pore sizes can be synthesized by the covalent cross-linking of LiMo3Se3 nanowires with citrate-stabilized Ag nanoparticles (see picture, cit = citrate). The ease of synthesis and the possibilities for functionalization with redox-active groups make these xerogels potentially useful in applications such as batteries, capacitors, and electrochemical catalysts.
