Abstract
A simple, incompressible model that predicts port characteristics of ejectors is presented. This model is directed toward the fluidic applications of ejectors. It includes friction and other losses in terms of discharge coefficients and diffuser efficiency. It can be used as a simple design guide for incompressible fluids if the pressures are such that the flow is turbulent and subsonic. Experimental data from the literature and from tests performed are used to verify the model. A literature review covering many aspects of aspirator technology is presented. (A)
