title = "A detailed multipoint gene map of chromosome 1q",
abstract = "Utilizing genotyping data for 23 markers, we have constructed a 21-locus multipoint genetic map of the long arm of chromosome 1. Five new RFLPs are reported. The map integrates anonymous loci from previous primary linkage maps and incorporates markers for 10 coding sequences. These markers form a continuous linkage group of 85 cM in males and 141 cM in females. The map was constructed employing the LINKAGE and CRIMAP computational methodologies via a stepwise algorithm.",

note = "Funding Information: Probes utilized in this study were generously provided by Y. Yamada (LAMBB), M. Shull (ATPlA2 and ATPlASL), E. Davie (F13B), E. Wieben (SNRPE), I. Cavas (DAF), N. Lench (DlS84), R. Anderson (APOAB), T. Miki (DlS75), and R. Lawn (AT3) or purchased from ATCC (CRl, CR2, REN, SPTAl). James Weber did PCR typing for APOA2 and CEPH for FY. CEPH provided DNA samples and management and analysis software.
