Abstract

In this work, we analyze the statistical properties of an ensemble of beams subject to vibrational loading. We consider the effect of variations in length and other parameters of the beam and its response. In this context, we precisely define low- and high-frequency regimes. Moreover, a simple statistical model is proposed that is valid in the high-frequency range.
