Abstract

The USEPA Assessment and Total Maximum Daily Load Tracking and Implementation System repository is an independent database repository for all total maximum daily load (TMDL) documents. This chapter provides the information related to the use of the TMDL Report Selection tool for a specific TMDL model, as well as practical examples of searches that were performed and the results obtained. The examples also provide statistics from the TMDL report repository for the period 1975 to 2017 that include the number of reports for the following purposes: reports published in each of the 50 states and reports published during each of the years 1975 through 2017. The relationships between impairments, watershed models, receiving water models, and other terms associated with TMDL models are displayed in two interactive visualizations-the chord graph and the matrix graph. The TMDL Report Selection tool is a state-of-the-art tool that promotes greater use of information describing the state of the practice.
