Abstract

We suggest particle-based approach for simulation of carrier transport in 2D devices. The quantum character of the carrier transport is taken into account by generation and recombination of positive and negative particles. Preliminary applications of the approach are discussed. Also, a variety of issues are raised regarding many computational challenges that need to be overcome.
