Abstract
The self-similarity of multi-access interference (MAI) processes in multimedia wireless code division multiple access (CDMA) networks was discussed. The temporal structure of MAI was elaborated and it was found that the downlink MAI was asymptotically self similar. The analysis showed that the MAI was long range dependent and there existed a predictive structure of the MAI across multiple time scales.
