title = "Scattering from two dimensional ferrite-loaded cavity-backed slot antennas",
abstract = "The cavity-backed slot (CBS) antenna is an attractive candidate for aerospace applications due to its lightweight, low profile, and conformal attributes. The concept of using magnetized ferrite to control radiation and scattering characteristics of the CBS antenna is not new. In this paper, a very general analytical model of the cavity-backed slot is used to determine the scattering characteristics of the antenna. By analyzing the scattering response of the antenna, the resonant frequencies of both the dynamic and the magnetostatic modes of the antenna are obtained.",
