Abstract
A video-based, scanned, two-color particle image velocimetry has been developed. The system removes the directional ambiguity and improves the dynamic range and signal/noise ratio of PIV correlation function. It can automatically acquire and process a large number of pictures to obtain statistical properties. It has been successfully applied to dense two-phase flow research.
