Abstract

Parameter estimation plays a crucial role in load modeling. The aggregated nature of the load model and the large number of tunable parameter makes the task of parameter estimation challenging. Therefore, a deeper understanding of the estimation process is required. Sensitivity analysis provides useful insight into the parameter estimation process, which can make the process more efficient and systematic. The importance of sensitivity analysis in load model parameter estimation is highlighted in this paper through an example.
