Photoproduction of an isovector ρπ state at 1775 MeV

Evidence is presented for the charge-exchange photoproduction, in two distinct reactions, of an isovector state of mass 1775 MeV. Results of an analysis of the decay-angular distributions are also presented, from which it is concluded that JP=1-, 2-, or 3+.
