Abstract

This discovery demonstrates that technology advancement has made feasible the development of MEMs based CB, where the large mechanical switch is replaced by a switching array consisting of a large number of MEMS switches connected in series and parallel. This offers small size and arc-less interruption of short circuit current by the end of the first cycle.
