Abstract

This Letter reports a study of dynamic states of positron annihilation during laser excitation. High power short-pulsed laser irradiation induces transient effects and many interesting phenomena in condensed matter. Doppler broadening of positron annihilation measurements were conducted on crystalline silicon in coincidence with laser irradiation on nanosecond time scale to study the influence of laser induced effects on the electron momentum distributions seen by the positron.
