Abstract
Myxoma virus construct carrying the IL-15 gene was used to treat experimental pulmonary melanoma in mice. The construct was delivered systemically by mesenchymal stem (“Trojan horse”) cells and triggered an oncolytic effect and antitumor adaptive immune response. This led to marked regression of lesions and makes increased survival possible.
