Abstract
The use of high resolution TEM, electron diffraction, and microanalysis in the study of modulated and intergrowth mineral structures is reviewed. The data presented include examples of commensurate and incommensurate growth and intergrowth effects, including order-disorder, positional displacement, spinodal decomposition, phase transition and chemical reaction phenomena. -J.A.Z.
