Abstract
This invention seeks to improve the delivery of the cancer chemotherapy agent, phenstatin, in the treatment of various bulk cancers using a "smart polymer". Specifically, it involves the design of an injectable drug delivery system to locally deliver phenstatin using temperature based polymers based on N-isopropylacrylamide. The polymer-drug conjugate would be water soluble allowing the system to be injected as a liquid, and subsequently would gel in vivo at the site of delivery.
