Abstract

In 2020, U.S. lawmakers advanced the CHIPS and Science Act to augment the data-driven economy through cross-sectoral investments and infrastructure for AI, chip manufacturing, telecommunications and networking, and data centers. In the U.S., life on or near sovereign tribal lands is characterized by rurality, lower family income and employability, and greater health and education needs.
