Abstract
Special issue aims to report on recent feature-transformation and subset-selection studies, and increase the AI community's awareness of this research, currently conducted in isolation. Through this issue, authors produce a contemporary overview of modern solutions; create synergy among these branches - each different but sharing the same goal of facilitating data processing and knowledge discovery; and point to future research directions.
