Abstract
A Chemistry Concept Inventory (CCI) was developed for use in chemistry and other engineering courses. Concept Inventory is an exam exploring student's mental models, their qualitative image, of how science and engineering work. CCI helps faculty determine the extent of misconception about chemistry that students carry into their engineering courses. CCI also helps in evaluating chemistry or engineering faculty who devise new ways of teaching designed to correct the misconception of students.
