Abstract
Since 1975, the US pursued a revolutionary path of full deregulation, whereas Canada opted for a more gradual evolutionary policy. This paper examines the prospects for Canada's largest regional air carrier, Pacific Western Airlines (PWA), in a deregulated environment, and the strategies being adopted by that airline's management. The experience of deregulated airline markets questions the viability of a large regional air carrier.-from Authors
