Abstract
Presentation of Case A 52-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of neurofibromatosis complicated by weight loss, jaundice, and an ampullary mass. The patient had been mentally retarded since childhood. Cutaneous lesions were present since the age of 10 to 15 years. He was raised by his father, who never brought him to medical attention. The patient was not employed and resided with his father until three years before entry, when his sister assumed his care after the father's death. Soon thereafter the sister brought the patient to the Neurofibromatosis Clinic at this hospital, where examination showed cafã au.
