Description
Under the auspices of the Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program, the State of Arizona has established the Health Research Alliance Arizona (HRAA). HRAA is the implementation vehicle for leap-frogging Arizona forward, through organized, collaborative clinical and translational research, education, and community engagement. The purpose of employing a research liaison position is to coordinate the involvement of the AHCCCS in appropriate clinical and translational research as part of a state wide Health Research Alliance Arizona and its research priorities. This position will report to the Office of the Director of AHCCCS. The general responsibilities of the position include: A. Work with other CTSA participants and HRAA stakeholders to implement the goals and objectives of the community engagement and research program as outlined in the CTSA grant proposal; B. Evaluate the AHCCCS data warehouse and reporting capabilities and making recommendations to the Director on enhancing the research uses of the administrative and clinical data contained in the AHCCCS data repositories; C. Develop grant and other resources to provide financial resources to carry out the goals of the CTSA proposal; D. Coordinate with the Director to support the overall goal of health system transformation.
